weird aerodynamics?

Since when does a descending aircraft slow down to 89m/s with it's engines turned off? It's really weird. Moving along, decide to turn off my engines, point the nose straight down, and ooooh, magic brakes??!?! Is there some add on perhaps that might fix this?

The game by itself has a poor areodynamic modle, if you want something more realist try FAR

P.S. it becomes verry hard to make rockets fly well so you will want a mod that adds farrings, I use Procedural Fairings
