Sorting kerbonaut list to prevent jeb from being chosen first

Recommended Posts

So yeah worded weird but theres no way I can find to change the order of the astronauts, ie its always jeb bill and bob up top. Sometimes I forget to change the kerbal before launch meaning I have to revert choose someone else and relaunch. I wish I could set up the list so I can keep "throw away" kerbals uptop and save the stars for the big missions.

This is a great idea.

Much as I like having Bill around, I'd also like to be able to start with an entirely random trio rather than the classic three. Although I suppose I could kill them right off the bat...

IIRC you can drag the kerbonaults order on the list, and they will remain that way

Mine never stay that way after a failed launch/revert to VAB/fix?re-launch

jeb always ends up as the captain

which, with the way I have been playing it to keep things more interesting, I always go and drag him back to Kerbin and replace him with someone else

perfect examples...

I sort of like it that way, for my own entertainment, but I see how it could get irritating for others.

Perhaps we could have another two fields added to the astronaut database: 'number of missions' and 'last mission date'. Then you could sort your astronaut list to select the most/least experienced crew or the crew that flew most/least recently.

This. Maybe we can also have something like the science archives, but instead keeps track of your crews.

And then folks, we are on to a winner.
