It's an old news, but what do you think about this?

Do not space flights are a little too dangerous for kids:D

On the other hand, if NASA could send the old man into orbit, the teenager also probably would have been able to endure launch.

What space? Suborbital or orbital? If its suborbital usually the flight has been designed for the broadest population so they could get enough money AFAIK

NASA already sent John H. Glenn, who was in his 70s at the time and a former astronaut, into space onboard Space Shuttle Discovery during STS-95.

This sounds like baseless PR from someone who is pretty ignorant on the subject.

Yeah the cost is the bit that has me wondering. I don't see any issues with sending a teenager into space - arguably it'd be a better use of the kind of cash that you see being thrown around on shows like 'My Super Sweet 16'. In short, I doubt you're going to be seeing many of them.

The space agency didn't mention cost, or teenagers of specific age, or whether that person is really going into space. ITA will have to spend time on designing for a while if it was to plan a launch...
