Goshawk X-2 SSTO

The Goshawk is one of my most favourite aircraft I made. It's not based from anything, the story behind it was me and a friend decided to do a competition on whom can make the biggest SSTO. And yeah, this is what I made.

Wondering how this thing made it to Jool?

I got into orbit around kerbin and cheated to jool, So I could get this screenshot.

This is an atmospheric only version of the craft, It's exactly the same except this one only has turbojets. Everything else is the same scale.

Since you cheated for the screen shot...What is the actual range of it? You said you got it into Kerbin orbit but where else can it go on its own fuel?

It can make it to Minmus and back on a full tank. Wen I say back, I mean enough to De-orbit and fly back to the Space center.

Minimus is the absolute limit? Are you able to place it next to something to give us some scale? I'm in need of a "shuttle" for Kethane runs on eve or duna, maybe something like this would work well..

I was thinking about making some sort of way to detach some of the Mass and possibly make some form of replaceable engines, so you can add atomic rockets when you're in orbit. It's a very tricky craft to fly in the upper atmosphere. I'll also try find something to show you the size of it.

I never intended for it to be long range. It was literally made to take satellites up and/or back down from low kerbin orbit.

If you can get it to Minmus or the Mun, chances are you can get it to Duna. You may need a refill in LKO, but you could get there..

It really depends on how skilled you are at using Gravity, alignments and aerobraking to get to duna and return.
