QUESTION: How do I put in crafts I downloaded from the internet?

I run on mac OSX 10.9. My problem is not with finding my folder, I know where it is and I know where to put the ships. My problem is that whenever I download a ship it downloads as insertshipname.craft.txt

The .craft.txt makes it open in text edit and I want it to be just .craft like the rest of the ship files. I've tried deleting the .txt but even when the extension says .craft it doesn't show up in my ships list when I try to load up a ship. I know I'm putting it in the right spot and I'm able to get rid of older ships, but I can't make the ships I download off the internet work.

Please help me out if you can. I really want to try out some creations I found.

Thanks,

Dan

Since you are having problems removing the .txt from the file name. You may have to change your file settings to keep your operating system from automatically adding the .txt when it detects a uncompiled programming file. Someone using Mac OSX should be able to help you with the settings.

If you are on a Mac, try right-clicking the icon of the .craft.txt, press "Get Info", and then change the "Name & Extension" from .craft.txt to just .craft. Not sure if that will work, but it's worth a try.

Hey it worked! Thank you so much!
