Everything is smaller? Much like our own? It's Kerbin. We need to start looking for spaceships around that star. It's called Kepler 90, otherwise known as Kerbol.

Kepler 90b (Moho)

Kepler 90c (Eve)

Kepler 90d (KERBIN OMFG)

Kepler 90e (Duna)

Kepler 90f (Dres)

Kepler 90g (Jool)

Kepler 90h (GP2)

Astronomers are always having to come up with new names for things as they get discovered, and they tend to use various naming schemes to do it, some involving pop culture and some involving tributes to hard sci-fi novels or tributes to famous scientists. How awesome would it be if some day when they do discover yet another solar system with planets that they decide as a tribute, to start naming the planets Kerbin, Eve, Duna, Moho, and so on.

Looking at the comments section in that link, I don't think you're the only person to have reached that conclusion. :D

There probably are little green people with big heads living there, trying to get to that green gas giant.
