A satellite picks up a source of radiation under a glacier. the team heads out to dig it up. They find a stainless-steel, four wheeled vehicle similar to an automobile, with strange modifications, including a small reactor on the back and large vents. The Vehicle, dubbed anomaly "#088" is brought to deep storage for later examination.2500: A plan is hatched to stop the deep freeze. Fusion weapons are developed and lugged to an active geothermal hot spring, sitting at the top of a mountain. The 20 Gigaton payload is detonated, blasting a massive crater into the ground that stretches hundreds of miles across. The heat created by the blast combined with the potentially volatile volcano causes other volcanoes to erupt and heat up the planet. The ice begins receding as the temperature rises globally.
