ecat
Okay...000_ToolbarEditorExtensionsMagicSmokeIndustriesMechJeb2ModStatisticsNASAmissionSCANsatSquadModuleManager.2.2.0.dlltoolbar-settings.datThe above works. If I add in either Chatterer or 'DMagic Orbital Science' I crash just after the space centre. If I remove MagicSmokeIndustries and toolbar then add Chatterer and 'DMagic Orbital Science' back in everything is fine. Also, I just did a reboot as FireFox was showing problems detecting mouse clicks - it's never done that before.Confusing. So, fresh install and start again. My post in the Infernal Robotics thread...I've been trying to track down some crashes that happen, or don't happen, depending on combinations of various mods. I created a brand new KSP Winx64 install, added only the IR mod and nothing else. Started the game, set some sound+graphics options, started a new sandbox game, into the VAB, moved the toolbar icon and set it up for IR, selected the basic command pod added a hinge and instant crash. The log file: http://www.i2net.me.uk/files/Games/KerbalSP/ErrorLogs/CleanKSP-FreshIR-asonlymod-output_log.zipI have been playing all day with a selection of mods it's just a certain few that were causing troubles - and even then perhaps only if certain other mods were installed. Curiously, all the mods that have caused problems have used toolbar - I have posts in that thread - yet I've played with chatterer installed without problem so it's not quite as simple.Anyway, we may be heading into the dread x64 stability region but as this is the most minimalist/simple crash config I've found so far I thought I'd pass it on to the experts. blizzy78
Also, I just did a reboot as FireFox was showing problems detecting mouse clicks - it's never done that before. That should be a bug of Unity x64. It somehow holds down the right mouse button, leading to some confusion in Windows, where left and right buttons seem to be reversed. This can be fixed by clicking with the right mouse button on the desktop, then clicking left. After that, it should be back to normal.
ecat
That should be a bug of Unity x64. It somehow holds down the right mouse button, leading to some confusion in Windows, where left and right buttons seem to be reversed. This can be fixed by clicking with the right mouse button on the desktop, then clicking left. After that, it should be back to normal. The restart was just a precaution, thanks for the info.I found I could provoke a crash state that would then persist across multiple game starts until a reboot, so something external to KSP/Unity must be maintaining some state. I updated the graphics driver for my HD6950 to the latest beta 14.7.rc1 and for the first time was able to run my clean install of IR and Chatterer. On a roll I added IS, game crashed where it usually does with IS which is just after the 'Resume Saved' or 'Start New' click. Removed IS. This does not appear connected to toolbar which is not doing anything at this stage of the game?Next up ScanSat. Got as far as the VAB and crash on VAB load. This is more typical of the crashes I'm seeing, for now I'm regarding IS as having a different issue.I can live without IR for now so out it went leaving Chatter and ScanSat at which point everything was working again.None of this may have any connection with toolbar, it's just the thing thing that sticks in my head was the working KAC that appeared to crash when opening the Space Centre screen. This could have been due to any number of things but I know that my stable configuration has survived several hours of play without issue. Some strange interaction is all I can imagine at this time.Don't suppose you could point me at a handy reference detailing thread safe C# and the threading model used by C# when accessing dlls? waerth
I am having similar issues as Ecat, with and without toolbar Also 64 bit.Stock works fine. Some mods work fine sometimes, some combos work, some do not. HAve been busy with it for 2 hours now.Same issues with mouse.Have many crash reports, some with Toolbar installedm some without (do not know which is which anymore)With toolbar the game starts, I can start new game and then click on the toolbar icon and then the game freezes, I cannot click on anything anymore. But the game does not crash, so no crash report.I am trying out these mods:* Debrefund 1.0.5 * Kerbal Alarm Clock 2.7.7.0* Engineer Redux 0.6.2.5* Dmagic Orbital Science new science parts 0.8.2* Module Manager 2.2.0* Universal Storage (US) Core 0.7511* US Part Catalog* Part Catalog 3.0 RC5* Final Frontier 0.5.1 - Details missions individual Kerbals have flown* Landing Height 1.1 - Shows real height above terrain!* Remote Tech v1.4.0* Toolbar 1.7.4* Chatterer 0.5.9.
BigD145
People, stop using 64bit unless you absolutely have to. It has more problems than 32bit.Waerth, you do have a crash report. It's your log file. You just don't have a formal crash file. Your log file is just ksp.log and should be right next to ksp.exe.
Nsomnia
For some reason I cannot resize the toolbar beyond the stock 1 button size. so i cannot use more than 1 button at a time.
Furious1964
Can't seem to get the toolbar to show up on the launch pad in the 64bit version. Is this a known issue?Found the problem, your settings cfg file. I replaced it with the older one I have and the toolbar showed up where it was supposed to. Please fix this issue, thanks. Unknown Zombie
When using the toolbar, I can't get the drop-down menu button to show any options. Here's a screenshot:The small black box is what shows up when you click the drop-down arrow.I'm playing on Linux (64-bit). I also tried 32-bit version and had the same problem. Here's the log file:https://gist.github.com/Unknown-Zombie/6ac27b81d8fe69e4948b#file-ksp-linux-toolbar-log-paste

mike9606
I unzipped 000_Toolbar into the GameData folder. If you unzipped the contents of it into GameData that is the issue. You are supposed to copy the 000_Toolbar and it's contents into GameData.
blizzy78
It looks like there is something missing from that folder.Or what mike9606 said, but in that case, you should have seen a popup at KSP start.

blizzy78
Glad it worked out. I have an installation checking routine in there, but it only checks for the DLL file. Perhaps I should add all the other files, too.
AetherGoddess
I'm crossposting my experience and logs from the x64 compatability thread, in case this data helps your development. I don't know if this is something specific to the Toolbar plugin, or just something that these mods are clunking into by accident on the x64 version only. Since i am apparently Ms. Untrustworthy Kerbal right now, my post hasn't appeared in the listing, so here is the content repeated:There seems to be a multi-mod incompatibility with the following mods:Kerbal Engineer Redux - v0.6.2.7SCANsat v6.1StationScience 0.9ModStatistics 1.0.3 (probably not related, but it keeps reinstalling itself, so it can't be ruled out)Toolbar 1.7.4Module Manager 2.2.0 (which is weird, because 0 patches and 0 hidden on the loading screen)Together, they cause a crash somewhere between starting a new career mode and placing the first root part in the VAB for the x64 version, but not in x86. Removing any of the above mods eliminates the crash, as does switching to the 32-bit KSP.exe I suspect this has something to do with the way that toolbar is enumerating buttons, because each of those mods creates at least one toolbar button. Here is a big pile of crash reports, and here is the relevant portion of the output_log.txt:------------------- initializing editor mode... ------------------ (Filename: ecat
Still plugging away at my Win x64 career and thought this latest little hiccup may be of interest.First time in SPH. Added MechJeb to an all stock craft, up popped the default toolbar button, moved button to top left-ish of screen, clicked button to select 'Edit Buttons' and crash. Why interesting? mockingking
Using toolbar breaks my main menu.Starting a new game leads to the menu text being greyed out and nothing happening, whereas loading a game causes a blank window to appear. In either case, nothing can be clicked anymore.

AndreyATGB
So now we have two toolbars? What's the use of that? Can you merge them?Use is that this one is used by literally all mods while the official one is new and not very widely used right now. Also blizzy's has stuff like autohide, folders and multiple toolbars.

softweir
Try removing the toolbar folder (again!), then re-download it and reinstall.Sometimes, downloads can get corrupted. Not often, but it does happen and can be worth checking, especially when weird things happen.
blizzy78
"The Toolbar Plugin does not even do anything at the main menu. "Interdast. But then why does removing the toolbar folder fix the bug?Perhaps removing it does prevent another dependent plugin from loading, thus not triggering the bug. Or it might be a 64-bit KSP/Unity bug altogether. Please keep in mind that that version is expected to be having more bugs than the 32-bit version. Rohaq
For some reason, the Toolbar doesn't seem to be appearing on any of my screens in 64 bit or 32 bit KSP. My output.log [link here] suggests that it's loaded, however there's no sign of it. I've tried removing all other add-ons, and even deleting my GameData and KSP_x64_Data and re-verifying them with Steam.Any tips for troubleshooting this?EDIT: Looks like a fresh install did work, but I didn't realise that the toolbar wouldn't appear unless a part/plugin was loaded that was actually configured to use it. Doh! Edited July 20, 2014 by Rohaq Tested in 32 bit too, same issues.
