The Disapearance of the Ostrich IV

This morning, in the middle of an otherwise uneventful KSP session, the Ostrich IV and all aboard disappeared off the radar and into oblivion without warning or so much as a whimper.

I'm not too worried about this: it kind of comes with the territory, both as a kerbonaut, and as a player of a game still under development. But I wonder... I've got 18 (now 17) flights in progress, and a whole mess o' debris, all running on a rather frail and elderly computer. Is this sort of thing more likely to happen when the CPU feels overwhelmed?

Not sure, if u want to nuke all ur debris set the slider limit to 0, hit apply, check your save to see if it worked and then switch ur limit back to what ever you want.

*sigh* Sometimes my ships desintegrate without a reason when i switch to them. After loading the quicksave everything is OK. Physics glitches in KSP are bread-and-butter to many of us. You are not alone in suffering

had it happen once...thought it was the reinforcements mod, but it wasn't...
