Here is a short list of possible features that could enhance the quality of how a player/ship could better be affected by its surroundings.

Damage from heat

- Damage to individual parts

Weather

-Thunderstorms

-Blizzards

-Seasons?

-Rain

-Hailstorm

Other stuff

-Geysers (Not small ones, larger ones)

-More dynamic enviroment and more things to see (e.g More rock formations, caves)

-Lava flows?

-More purpose for rovers (Drilling or shooting lazers, like Curiosity)

-Biomes have different flora and fauna

-Animals?

-Radiation effects

-solar flares

The list could go on, I hope to see these implemented one day!

Some notes:

Weather has been suggested repeatedly; may be on a "future plans" list, but with SQUAD's decision making... uh... "skills", who knows what that means.

I think I read somewhere that all parts can already overheat. It'd be cool to see this implemented on Moho.

Flora/fauna/creatures: They've said no aliens for the time being, and it's been recommended other places

solar flares probably fall under the "Random events/damage" on the do-not-recommend list

It would be cool if rovers had more uses, but weapons are out and resources aren't looking good (in stock). It would be cool if there were attachments that would let them send back surface samples, though.

But yeah, all that stuff would be cool to see in the game, despite what the devs have said will or won't be included.

Hmm, digging tools would be nice, and trails would be cool too! specially in places like the mun where they remain unchanged.

Individual parts can already be damaged, for example by engine exhaust. Weather is on the What Not to Suggest List. The rest... may be interesting.
