DayZ Standalone

So, as you may know, DayZ developers love KSP to death. Recently, the very (very very) early alpha came out. I'm wondering who else has got it, and if you haven't why? I don't blame you for not wanting the buggiest game on Earth, but I wanted to own it very early on.

If they had a single player version of it I would try it.

I just don't see the point of playing a zombie survival game and getting heat shot 20 times by other players.

You might as well just play a regular MMO shooter.

I bought it last night. I would hardly call it a "standalone" (other than the fact that you dont need to buy arma3) it still just feels like Dayzmod2.

For a zombie survival game there arent many zombies

I dont play Arma Day-Z because i use a mac, if the could make it for the Mac i would.

And now dont say that mac's cant handle it, because ARMA 2 can.

You might as well just play a regular MMO shooter.

The difference between Day Z and an MMO shooter is the people, you forge alliances, build HQs, skirmish with other groups, much, MUCH more depth, however it does take a while to get into. I'd not assume that's an issue for a KSP player, however.

I saw it on the Devil Dog Gamers channel. It looks promising as far as DayZ goes. I really like what seems to be the addition of a lot of building interiors. I love buildings you can enter. Of course, my problem with DayZ is still people like DDG. Don't get me wrong, I love the videos, but the reason I stopped playing DayZ was that I was tired of the zombies being a sidenote in a zombie survival game. The focus of the game was either killing other players, or avoiding being killed by other players, and until I am convinced the standalone has fixed that problem, I'm not interested.

Of course if I had a group of local friends who all played the game then it would be fantastic for me. But I don't, and so I'm really not.
