The Annoying Node Placement Glitch

Recommended Posts

I'm sure we've all had an experience with it. Many spacecraft have to be completely redesigned around it.

I'm talking about the Node Placement glitch. Sometimes when you try to place one part on another part (no pun intended), they completely freak out. It's a bit like a slot machine, actually: There's a set pattern for the flickering parts, but you only have a one-in-a-thousand shot to actually place it correctly.

I'm getting a bit tired of it, myself, and I know I'm not the only one having this problem. Even Scott Manley can be seen struggling with it occaisionally. For some things, the fix is simple: For an inline battery, for example, you could just flip it upside down and it's just fine. But I, for one, have been wrestling with some docking ports for 15 minutes before just giving up.

Has anyone else had some severe troubles with this glitch?

(Squad, please fix! Pweeeeeeeeease! :()

For some reason (I have tried, FYI), I can't upload pictures... I'll have to start using Imgur eventually. And I've also already tried moving the camera around; it doesn't help, and I'm not using clipping.

No, I mean that the part will start freaking out and jumping all around as you are trying to place it. I'm not sure if this is a localized glitch now or something, because I remembered that a lot of people had it... I wonder what happened. :sealed:

P.S. No, it was not, unfortunately.
