Is there a way to find out what biome I am in?

Recommended Posts

... Or do I have to "spam 'EVA report' to find out?

To be more precise, I am (or rather, Jeb is) in orbit over Mun and trying to collect EVA reports of the biomes flying over.

The only way to get them seems to be to do "EVA report" and see if it is another biome and if not, reset.

That is your biome. I think you need to land to be in another biome.

If you're not oppose to mods, you should look into ScanSat. This will give you the ability to put in scanners on a probe or your ship to map out altitude, biomes, slope angles (useful for landing), and even "anomalies."

Pretty sure one of the F keys brought up a bunch of information including current biome. I can't check at the moment unfortunately.

I could also be imagining this. That happens.

Close, but no cigar. F3 brings up quite a lot, but not the biome I am flying over (this might actually be the problem). It says "orbiting the mun".

Each crater is it's own biome, and then you have the two canyons (The one that goes north and theres another around the equator) then the poles, There's more (Obviously) but those are the most obvious to fly over.

I know that. I wanted to know which one I am flying over without being EVA and spamming "EVA report", then discarding it, if it is the same.

Isn't there more info available through the alt F12 debug menu?

But anyway, Scansat is the way to go, it's useful and gives you an excuse to set up yet more satellites.
