Is it just me or is the hardest thing in this game mounting the damn landing gear?

It seems to me that there is that exact spot you need it to be but it will only mount with 3 degrees of camber either side of that sweet spot you're after. So really it's just a matter picking the least objectionable one and getting off the ground as soon as possible before the wobbles set in.

Is there some trick that I'm not aware of that everybody else is doing. There is a rare occurance where I'm able to mount them perfectly, but it's like a 1 in 5 chance.

you can use symmetry, and you cal also use angle snap. (By pressing x and c respectively, they are also located under the parts list) however, pics of the problem would certainly help.

Also, use shift + wasdqe to rotate parts in 5 degree increments.

Usually disabling angle-snap will make this work for me.

Yeah I found disabling angle snap helps a bit, but the 5 degree increments seems to be my biggest beef.

It'd be nice if you could hit the shift key and move in 1 degree increments. It always seems like my desired angle is sitting right in the middle of the 5 degree arc.

What exactly are you mounting these gears on? On most fuel tanks and capsules they should automatically sit straight, as long as you're not trying to stick them on the underside or edge of a part
