Rocket Flame out

Recommended Posts

I have used 4 different rockets and they all flame out and say oxidizer deprived at random times while at full thrust. Can someone explain why? My fuel tanks and oxidizer are full. Mind you I am already in the middle of space and they just shut off. Any help would be great.

A picture or detailed description of the rocket is going to be needed before anyone can give much help. It's clearly some sort of fuel flow issue from the description you gave, but impossible to say much more than that.

I am literally at full throttle and it flames out...

Hmm, that picture shows you as having burnt nearly all of your all-ship fuel load, and with other stages remaining. Are you certain that it's not just a case of the lowest stage having used up all of its fuel, and the remaining fuel being in the stages above it?

Which tanks still have fuel in them?

Are your engines attached directly to the tanks above them?

Are you doing anything unusual or clever in terms of construction, or is it just all tanks on top of engines, with decouplers between stages?

Nothing fancy... That was actually the first time that the first stage flamed out, normally it is the second or third stage. The fuel you see is only for that rocket. Sometimes it happens when fuel is low, sometimes full, sometimes half full. I have not figured out any correlations to anything. I have replicated this rocket multiple times with it flaming out at random. Well at least I can't figure out why.

As everyone else said above, you burned through all your fuel in the lower tanks, and the tanks that have fuel don't have flow to the engines.

Two ways of fixing this problem.

1- Transfer fuel from the tanks that have fuel to the tanks that have routing to your engines.

2- download TAC Fuel Balancer and you can set that before you take off.

Simpler fix might be to just hit space and stage.
