Okey, so in this thread it is mentioned that the Quatar Soccer games cost more then the Apollo program in its entirety.

So that got me (Well actually, a buddy of mine) thinking. How much would it cost to organize the World soccer cup on the moon? Using Apollo technology.

We need to get 32 teams(11 players + 1 coach each) to the moon. I figured that since Apollo 17 stayed for 4 days on the moon we had enough time to play the championship.

Day 1 : Poule rounds

Day 2 : 8th finale + Quarters

Day 3 : Semi

Day 4 : Finale

Soo where would we start calculating the costs?

It would cost really alot, because every single time somebody tries to kick the ball a little hard, it will fly all the way into orbit.
