Sound Tech Suggestion/Question

If I already have KSP loaded and I switch sound devices (from speakers to headphones), KSP doesnt change. I am not sure if this is just a matter of when the game checks for what device to use... I seem to always have to exit the game completely, re-change my default sound device, then re-load the game. I dont seem to have to do that with other games. Would that be possible/easy to fix? Thanks

IIRC this is a Windows thing, at least it's always been like that for me. Try doing that while on a youtube video, does that do it too? If it doesn't switch, usually you have to close and reopen the program. If it's just KSP that does it, then I'm not sure.

But there is the possibility to allow KSP to choose which output device it uses.

That would be great for people with headphones and speakers who want the windows stuff to run on the speakers but want the game on headphones for example.

That setup would also remove interference of uber high KSP rocket sounds drowning a music at the background.
