I am trying to parody a recent truck commercial involving splits.

I am running into problems. My kerbal will not stay attached to the trucks long before the trucks move with any speed. Video included.

Any hints on how to keep Jeb from drifting off the trucks so quickly? He only needs to stay on one truck for this to work or even better fall after the trucks drift apart. Or just be happy and live with my test clip as is?
