I'm getting a bit cold on biomes these days, I don't really see the challenge in it and it feels very grind-y

They aren't there to be a grind, they are there to offer a way to increase your science close-to-home and add interest to an otherwise uninteresting floating rock. Try to see past "progression" as the only objective of the game :)

I've been running this racket for a few weeks on Minmus. I love it, it's a heap of fun making short hops down to the surface and then processing the results in orbit and refuelling the station with a Kethane miner.

Though I'm thinking when Duna and Eve biomes get added that mobile Science rovers are going to be the only effecient way of doing this, well maybe not Duna, but definitely on Eve.
