Currently, tweakable menus will update their appearance and automatically "hide" options that are currently being displayed when their guiActive[Editor] field is set to false. However, they do not do the same when the field is set to true, requiring the user to right-click on the part again in order to see the effect of the change. This is particularly relevant to adding "advanced" menus to parts that would be unhidden by toggling a "show advanced" tweakable or similar.
