Disappearing struts

Well I spent a long long time putting struts on my ship. I decided to save the whole lower section as a sub assembly. So I disconnect the ship from below the command pod and drag it to sub assembly, of course after that I have to drag it back to recreate the ship again. The problem is when I reconnected the lower half of the ship the vast majority of my pain staking strut placement has disappeared :mad:
