Flat, Low Landing Coordinates on Eve

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to build a ship that can take off from any altitude on Eve. Does anyone have a good longitude/latitude for a fairly flat, near-zero altitude landing spot? I assume somebody out there has a rover on the beach that could grab the numbers for me.

I don't have coords for you, but may I suggest several fun ways to deal with the problem?

* Send a mission with a few probes that can be detached. Drop them one at a time in an attempt to score a nice location.

* Send a robotic lander, drive it to a decent location.

* Equip your lander with wings so you can glide to a good landing location. Gliding is extremely easy on eve. Even if your lander is huge and just has some tail canards at the draggy end, this can give you tens of kilometers of range flexibility if used correctly.

* Install Scan Sat, send a mapping probe, and make your own map to use for planning landing sites.

NM, you answered that question and I overlooked it.

EDIT: To be clear, I was asking a question someone else had already asked and hadn't seen the answer, so I deleted the question.
