you can, they just have to want to not be stupid

One more thing, if more stats are added it could help with that. Or if there are skills you need to train them in like mining/surveying.

Also what else would be cool is if you had to like use teacher kerbals, Like you hire some trainers and teacher kerbals and they teach the kerbals and you choose what you would want your kerbals to learn, Like a kerbal school!

How about a "tech tree", but instead of actual tech, it will help Kerbals by having them ,as said, being more courageous and less stupid. But, it can also make them excell at, for example, flying planes or performing actions like EVA jetpack responses quicker. Eh?
