This thread was made to show-off the very armored millitary ground vehicles, or ones that are made to counter said "V.A.M.G.V.s"

Rules(a MUST READ)

1.If you're gonna make a tank that shoots and can shoot infinitely and directly, use this mod: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/42189-0-22-GatlingGun-mod We want damage, not decoration!

2.If you will make a TD/Tank with a turret, use the rotatrons of this mod http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/infernal-robotics-v0-6a-parts-pack-1-magic-smoke-industries-ksp-v0-21-1/ i dont know how it would work otherwise

3.The vehicle has to have atleast 6 wheels, 3 on left, and 3 on the right minimum, otherwise it is just a car/bike with a gun

4.Trucks are okay as long as they follow the 3rd rule, they count as the counters to the Tanks

5.If the vehicle is based off of something, you have to tell what it is based off of

6.Each vehicle has pros and cons, atleast im sure about cons, list them.(and if it has some minor issues and something that can count as both a pro and a con, you can tell about these if you noticed them)

7.What is a vehicle without it's personal name? show some creativity!

8.Your vehicle is allowed to have a backstory, it adds creativity

Also, artillery that aren't using the mods of the rule 1 & 2 are OK

I'll start off with two TDs

1. Katze(based off of the Hetzer)

Some of you are quite familiar with it from my first post on the "how does your kerbal drive to work thread, but now, it got a design upgrade, it now has 4 command seats that are easy to get to, instead of the cupola module, cause of that, flanking manouvers are less of a threat to it. I dubbed it as the "Katze Ausf. I"

It was intended to be built before the [insert name of the next TD here], but there wasn't enough parts needed for such a design, so the [next TD on the list] came first, then the Katze came

Pros: 4 Crew can be put inside the Katze, which means rather good survivability rate. It is (surprisingly) the faster of the 2 TDs

Cons: Doesn't have a turret, unlike the next TD, it is also the bigger of the two

2. Katzchen(based off of the Marder II D)

You're treading into the uncharted territory with this thing, cause you haven't seen it earlier, unlike the first TD

It was created first, because it was smaller, had less wheels of the "tracks", and was generally part-conservative (only 74 parts!)

This is quite a unusual TD, as it has a turret, infact, a good number of kerbals mistake it for a Light tank cause of that fact, and it is only a few 650 I-beams away from being a LT

Pros: It has a fully rotating gun(Something you usually see on American TDs). It can be hidden more easily, cause of the smaller size

Cons: Only 2 crew members can sit in, which is good for having higher amounts of soldiers, but bad for the survivability of the Katzchen. It is open-top, if an arty hit the inside of the Katzchen, i'd hate to be in it.

Hopefully this thread will inspire to make tanks, and will have innovative tank designs! :)

Nice! quite a good way dealing with the fact it's rather hard to make an arty for a endless amount of time, but this is quite close to infinite.(atleast for an arty) And the first thing i would wanna do with it is hit a Katzchen!

I think it would be an arty, But i dont see a 4th wheel on the sides but oh well, exceptions to every rule(Actually, ill just edit the 3rd rule, cause there aren't alot of cars with 6 wheels these days) Also, i'd really like to know the truck's name

For one image you do %7Boption%7Dinsertimgurimageidhere%7Boption%7D (add a / to the %7Boption%7D at the end of the ID}

For a album you do [imgur]Insertablumidhere[imgur] (also add a / to the last [imgur], and without the spaces and the #0(for example the ID is NKmHX#0, the #0 indicates the picture it shows, remove it and it should be NKmHX))

EDIT: i also started to think my TDs and the artys(kinda) are the best at following the rules(one has no pros/cons and one has no name that i know of)... just a minor thought, im also noticing that my TDs are the only ones to be inspired by something

Only 5 millitary ground vehicle designs isn't alot, we need more designs people! you can post more MGVs or improvements of a design already on this topic(as long as it is yours). :)

Hm... i tried to base it off of the D version of Marder 2, but i guess it also looks like that, i even included in the tank's ingame description that some kerbals mistake it for an arty BEFORE making this thread

Random opinions aside, i decided to show another TD(just can't get to showing the actual tanks can i?) Which shows the optional part of rule 6

The (Anti German)AG-15 Sobaka (based off of the... well... i originally intended to make it look like a SU-85 but now i think it looks a bit more like the ISU-152)

This design existed.... before this thread actually, but problem was, our own KSC didn't have one of those, so we decided to steal one from our local museum build one, and replecate every single detail! because luckily, we had one at our local museum! to steal

The AG-15 came at a time when The Katz Series were SWARMING the battlefield, seriously, there have been reports about a 1000 Katzes and 2000 Katzchens in one place. There was a upcomming Heavy Tank being made, but that was delayed, and the engineers decided to make this thing! due to the fact how much Katz-series it can destroy AND live, it has been nicknamed "Katz Buster" when there's something strange, in the neighborhood, who ya gonna call? If you know what Katze and Katzchen mean in german, and what Sobaka means in russian, you know why its called the Sobaka. It also features triple armor in the front, and double on the side.

Pros: More defensive than the Katze, has the crew sitting in the front which brings it rather good survivability, and the crew it can have is 4, same as the Katze

Neutral Points: The size! and surprisingly enough, it can hide! granted not as good as the Katz-s but it can hide, and the size has the enemies terrified to near-death(wish it was full death, but you have what you have)

Cons: Wait for it....

Cons?: Wait for it...

CONS: I SAID WAIT FOR IT, JESUS CHRIST YER IMPATIENT CONS

Cons(for real this time): 291 Parts! Yeah! Puts space stations to shame! It's like i haven't heard of the M-2x2 panels! But still, could be worse(The prototype design had 317 PARTS!)

Minor Complaints: Kerbals sometimes trip inside the thing, but if they run they will be fine. Still, could be worse(You couldn't even get inside the prototype, i angled the back FOR A REASON people!)

oh crud, the museum employees came, gotta run fa- or use this thing to kill them!

Just use the mods listed on rules 1 and 2 to make it as stock as possible if you are planning to make a turreted tank/TD. If you will make a turretless TD(or a M3 Lee) only use the mod on rule 1, and the arty... is up to you.

Alright. This is the (Um...Oops. Forgot the name. Um...) Tank buster. That can stand in untill I give it a proper name.

Kerbal is (Still) giving me upside down screenshots. Not sure why.
