Starpoint Shipyard - a complete log

So here I am, building myself a space dock, because who doesn't want one? Space docks are badass. I've been chronicling the construction in my personal blog and am ready to share the progress I have made so far. This thread will serve as a link page to all the reports I make on my progress with what I have now named Starpoint Shipyard.

Starpoint will serve as a future staging ground for interplanetary missions, a gantry for orbital construction, and a dock for larger service craft running my kethane operations in the kerbin system in preparation for massive colonization initiatives soon bound for Duna and Lathe.

As launch nears, I am still unsure as to the orbit it should be placed in. You can comment on the first blog, Theorycrafting, or in this thread with suggestions. So far, it is decided that it should be located above 700km for access to higher time warp to assist with phase angle lineups. Beyond that, nothing is yet certain.

I am squatting on this post spot as the second post here will serve to document the missions using Starpoint, detailing constructions, launches, even things like routine service taking a strange turn or some clever story I can make up about a day in the life of my kerbals!

hrmm mvery nice spacedock koncept. i was planing to build a dock for my interplanetary missions too ... so taking you as inspiration
