What's wrong with the search bar?

S'been a while since I last posted at all, bu just wanted to ask a question that I've wanted to understand for a while now.

Regardless of what I search using the search bar on the forum, the results don't seem to be related at all. Are there any plans to improve it?

It's a built-in vBulletin thing. You can get plugins that enhance it or replace it entirely, but we'd have to ask Kasper about it. I think he can do it, anyway. If not, there's only one person who can, and he's not around very much.

I can't, but if you're looking for a specific thread Google is usually a quick alternative. The advanced search engine does a better job than the standard one, but it takes some tinkering with.

Right, for now I use Google's advanced search engine.

Vexx, who is that mysterious and elusive person that has the divine power to change it? And would he?

As far as I know, that would be AlexMora (or however his nickname is spelled/capitalised/whatever). We rarely get in contact with him at all, though I think Kasper or maybe Rowsdower can call him up if necessary. He is, as far as I know, the only one who has sufficient access to the forum to actually install plugins.
