90377 Sedna Planet X?

So I was doing some research on Nemesis(Hypothetical star.) Read about it here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nemesis_(hypothetical_star)

Then found out about 90377 Sedna, IF this is Planet X then, it can come towards earth at any time...

(Of course I don\'t believe in 2012 but, Planet X could still be there but hit the earth at a different time.)

So, evidence suggest\'s that 90377 Sedna WAS I repeat WAS in our solar system, but was pushed away.

Probably within the gap between the last planet and Pluto.(If Pluto was formed yet...)

So, this EX-Planet could be Planet X.

Does anyone else agree post why or why not in the comments.

Sedna\'s orbit has been calculated, and it\'s going nowhere near earth anytime soon

Infact, you would have to be traveling multiple times galactic escape velocity to reach the inner solar system in a year.

BTW, Sedna is such an interesting \'planet\', it\'s just so mysterious.

IF Nemesis exists when it comes back to rain death it could drag Sedna along so Sedna can kill earth...

We would have detected nemesis\' gravity, so I\'m pretty sure it doesn\'t exist.

Every body in the solar system is pulling on every other. We had hints that pluto existed by measuring it\'s pull on neptune.

Nemesis is not in our solar system YET.

It did pass by the Sun and most likely WILL do so again in 10 thousand to billion years.

Sedna\'s closest point to the Sun is way beyond Pluto\'s orbit. It is of completely no thread. There is no such thing as \'Planet X\'.

Sedna CAN be dragged back closer to the Sun by Nemesis.

Nemesis doesn\'t exist as far as we know. It could exist but there is a very low chance of it existing. If nemesis does exist and it is it the \'orbit\' that you are talking about, and has the gravity to pull Sedna from its orbit, we would know that it exists by now. Stop trying to convert people on this forum about 2012.

TO EVERYONE ELSE

This thread is more about 2012 \'Theories\' (soon to be hoaxes) than the actual dwarf planet called Sedna. Leave this thread be so that it sinks to the bottom.

No I said I do NOT believe in the 2012 non-sense...

IF, nemesis does not exist how do you explain Sednas orbit?

It COULD not of been wider than Pluto.

Evidence suggest\'s how it got there was simple, but how it\'s orbit changed is not.

Explain that.

IF, nemesis does not exist how do you explain Sednas orbit?

Explain the orbit of Halley\'s comet?

Why is it so eccentric?

Simple, it\'s part of the Oort Cloud body system, just like Sedna. There is no \'mysterious Planet X\'.

Could be true...

It\'s highly doubtful it is true though...

Where are you getting these \'claims\' from? Make a thread HERE and watch that claim get shattered.

Thats a perfect idea. If you do, let me know.

Answer by Wikipedia.

'Brown has stated that it is more likely that one or more non-companion stars, passing near the Sun billions of years ago, could have pulled Sedna out into its current orbit.[19] In 2004, Kenyon forwarded this explanation after analysis of Sedna\'s orbital data and computer modeling of possible ancient non-companion star passes.'

If nemesis exists, WISE will find it.

Also 2000 CR105.

SERIOUS EDIT

The title '90377 Sedna Planet X?' is very misleading as it suggests that Sedna is Percival Lowell planet X, a regular gas giant. This is actually talking about the proposed red dwarf/brown dwarf star called nemisis effecting sedna\'s orbit.

Planet X is also used for the \'idea\' of the Nibiru collision, which is not backed up with any scientific proof. It was invented by Nancy Lieder, who says that she can contact aliens. She said it would come in 2003, which it didn\'t. It has now been mixed in with the '2012 hoax'.

'Astronomers reject the idea of Nibiru, and have made efforts to inform the public that there is no threat to Earth in 2012.[19] They point out that such an object so close to Earth would be easily visible to the naked eye, as Jupiter and Saturn are both visible to the naked eye, and are dimmer than Nibiru would be at their distances. A planet such as Nibiru would create noticeable effects in the orbits of the outer planets.[20] Some counter this by claiming that the object has been concealed behind the Sun for several years, though this would be geometrically impossible.[12] Amateur photographs supposedly showing Nibiru near the Sun are usually the result of lens flares, false images of the Sun created by reflections within the lens.[21]'

I don\'t think sedna is eather of those two.

2 reasons why Nemesis does not exist

1:it would emit some sort of radiation which we would have detected eons ago

2:there would be more objects like sedna orbiting the sun, maybe even those with closer orbits

P.S.Sedna is roughly half the size of the moon
