[SSI] Newton (Type-1 Shuttlecraft)

The Newton Shuttle is a shuttle craft designed to carry 3 Kerbals to a space station in a 120km orbit to then be refueled land at KSC then dock again with a station at 120km. The Newton is a relatively small craft but is very capable it can take of vertically and land the same way or land like a true plane. Here is an Imigur Album of the Newton completing the Shuttlecraft Systems Inc certification run which is stated above.

The flight profile goes as follows:

1. Press 1 and 2 until you reach 80m/s

2. Then press 1 to disengage the basic jet engine

3. Now put your nose up to 50 degrees until 26,000m

4. Flatten out to gain speed

5. You should only need to stay between 0 and 20 degrees to maintain altitude

6. You should be able to get up to about 1900m/s before the engines go closed cycle

7. Watch engines when they go to closed cycle press 3 and 5 and try to get to 70km

8. Press 2 once 70km is reached to deactivate the Rapiers

9. Circularize orbit to about 70x 70km

10. The shuttle is capable of refueling at 120km landing at KSC and getting back to a 120km orbit.

Make sure once you land to put the rapiers into automatic mode.

2. Rapiers

3. Intakes

4. Switch Rapier mode

5. LV- N

6. Non atmospheric Vtol engine

Warning: Do not lower the landing gear when landed as it will result in Rapid Unplanned Disassembly.
