Lathe Vall transfer

Recommended Posts

Now, before people yell at me for asking, go to ksp.olex.biz, plug in a Lathe to Vall transfer at 75km parking orbit. See the problem? No?

The problem is it says the ejection angle is not a number. So what number is it not telling me or do I need to wing it?

You're using that pork chop plot calculator aren't you. I specifically said I'm using ksp.olex.biz. Unfortunately, I'm getting NaN degrees from that calc.

In anyways, thx.

Your right, I did you the porkchop plot, but I don't see how the ejection angle would be any different. I'm assuming you are waiting for Vall to be the requisite 47.57 deg for optimum transfer, at which point I serioudly doubt the .2-ish degree difference is going to change the dV expenditure that much.

This is why it's good to have multiple redundant systems: when one fails, you can use another.
