VincentMcConnell
Is there anyway to go into the files of the game and drastically lower the gravity of Kerbin? I\'d like to have gravity equal to or even less than the Mun\'s so I can practice using this Lunar Landing Research Vehicle (prototype LM) that I built. Doing it on Earth is easy, but it\'s not accurate to the kind of gravity I will be encountering with it on the Mun. (By the way, I have landed on the Mun, three times, but I\'m interested in trying to land with this new thing I built.)
UmbralRaptor
Not at the moment. Editing existing planets/modding in new ones is a planned feature.
Huojin
Unmanned missions to the Mun? Doesn\'t take that long to get there, really.
samstarman5
It\'s not just the gravity you would want to adjust, but also the atmosphere. That\'s a lot of drag you would still be dealing with if you only fixed Kerbin to have munar gravity.I am hoping with campaign we will be able to establish a Munar Base from which we can launch missions. That will give us an excellent way to practice/fail launches on the Mun to our kerbalesque-content.
Millitron
With persistence, you would only need to get it to lunar orbit once, then you can save, and try the landing as many times as you want.
Kosmo-not
You can simulate lower gravity on Kerbin by editing the engine part files to give you more thrust. Also, for simulating no atmosphere, you can set all the drag coefficients to 0.
