I'm having trouble understanding how to read the science archives. Does the bar fill up when you've completely researched the topic or is it the other way around and it shows how much you have left before getting no science from it? Is the current data value the amount of science you got from the last packet for that topic, or the amount you'd get from new packets?

I feel stupid, but this is so confusing to me D:
