all around manual?

Recommended Posts

Now this question has been roaming around probably, but is there a central kind of manual?

Just to give some idea, i have no clue sometimes how to fix modules to a ship.

For example, i often add fuel pipes, while i do not have to.

What makes sure fuel can flow through modules and when does it not work?

Rightclicking on items in the assembly hall gives extra info, but not all.

When i see some people making things, on youtube for example, i discover things i have never seen before.

Is it also possible to assign a command module as leading? while assembling a rocket.

I made a moonlander, but adding the rocket to it is hard because the lander is "leading". I want to add another capsule later and make that one the central module.

It is not possible to "import" the lander after i made the rocket. I have to build the whole thing from top to bottom now and i find that difficult.

I am trying to make an Apollo style rocket, so the lander will be positioned under the command module on launch.

Now i will accept it if is not possible, i will just have to deal with it. Others have done it, but i just thought it was worth noting.

Can any other command module be assigned leading? with a simple right click?

Maybe i should just search the entire forum, there is so much info here :-)

You can use the SelectRoot mod to designate another part as the new root part. For example, build your lander as usual, place any probe core above it, select that one as the new root, and save the lander as a subassembly. Now start a new craft, build the CSM, and place the lander from the subassembly under it. Then put the lifter stage below that. Voila, there's your Apollo mission.
