Co-21F Corvette

Recommended Posts

The Co-21F is the latest in my most successful ship line, with the D version serving as KIDA's main warship. However sue to huge part overruns I am not exactly happy with it as its a bit of a lag beast. :P

Length: 30m (I got the length by standing a Kerbal on top while the ship was landing on Minmus)

Cost: 226,000

Mass: 217 tons

dV: 5400

TWR: 1.75

Parts: 584

Weaponry: 9 Hornet Missiles and 5 Heavy Rockets.

All these stats are for when the ship is fully fuelled and armed.

The Co-21F looks a lot nicer than the Co-21D

Firing the Heavy Rockets. They have a dV of around 1000m/s and are armour piercing.

If you want I'll stick a Baxter on.it looks like it would fit snuggly on top of the lander can.

I'd be interested to see that. :) My PC is struggling with part count though.

I'm finding that my ships aren't changing much anymore and are no longer offering anything new. If ppl can say what they want to see in the future to mix things up a bit i'll try to implement them.

Yeah, but I couldn't find a projectile which was light enough yet still had a high impact tolerance. :( Also part count problems limited what I could do with it. :P

It might need something smaller then what I've already designed. What size ammunition are you thinking of?

Darn, I was just about to make a marathon class for Zokesia... well, I guess I'll just have to call it the Thermopylae class when I get working on it. :) :) Should I make it? It won't be much of a replica, but it will have most of the features of the UNSC inspiration. I might also have some odst pods for ONI SRU editions.

13 reloadable 1x1 panels at about 250-300m/s.But it has a problem, the panel goes along one exhaust and the decoupler goes along another.I can make a single engine design which will have less panels which can't be reloaded or you can fire from an angle(not really a hard choice).

EDIT:As a little bonus I think it has less parts.

That would be good thanks :) The structure on the front was a railgun but I switched it with rockets as my pc was struggling.

Kk :), thats exactly what i was thinking of doing, will post when its done (tweaking could take a while, I want to make it powerful and accurate.

So here is what I've come up with so far:

this is a radially attachable gun, I've set it up so that you double-toggle 1 to fire the gun, press space to load a bullet, which has to be fired almost right after. play around with it and tell me what you think :)

Your corvette has so many parts that it is hard to work on, so I thought making it seperate would be better. I'm not going to give up on integration though, I just need a better computer :P Also,i have concluded that Lv-t30's and aerospikes are not good engines to use for a railgun, far too unstable and have a tendency of cutting the clipped fuel lines.
