What Changed?

I haven't been on the forum for some months and i recently connected to it and i think i will be the forum addict i was before.

But, in the time i wasn't here, Anything important on the forum or KSP changed?

TO MODERATORS: I don't know if this is the correct section of the forum to post this. if this is not correct, feel free to move it.

I think this is best suited for the Forum Forum.Nobody hangs around there, though.

I'm not sure how long you've been away, but the community itself has gotten quite a bit larger, but luckily the influx of players doesn't seem to have made it worse, as happens to many online communities.

On the game front, nothing huge and mind blowing recently, just incremental changes geared towards career mode like the introduction of science and the tech tree, nothing much has changed in sandbox mode. A few new parts like the RAPIER engine.

And in dev news, Squad have announced that they actually are going to develop multiplayer, and are pushing back the development of a resources system to an indeterminate time in the future. Despite these two decisions probably not being related, everyone thought it was basically multiplayer vs resources and went really crazy, but shhh!! They seem to have forgotten about it for now.

To me the community seems to have gotten a lot quieter. Most ppl I know on here have disappeared.

Not a whole heck of a lot changed since I joined. Career mode, new parts, big forum debate/flame-fight over resources/multiplayer. It does seem quieter than when I first joined, though I can attribute part of that to the fact that we had that flame-fight and people got annoyed and left, combined with being in the lull between updates, where we know the next one is coming our way and threatens again to break all our saves, but we're coasting on our current version, afraid to make any big mission plans as we haven't a clue as to what we'll end up with, other than it'll break saves (potentally) and it'll break mods (most assuredly. Track record of past updates has been showing a lot of mod mishaps...)

That's true, i have seen only a few of the persons i know.

It tells you how many there are online and I've noticed that it has dropped over several months. (Despite KSP being more popular than ever)

Also general discussion and spacecraft exchange used to be where most ppl were and now everyone seems to be on the addon section.

The majority of new people is looking for addons, in some time, the general discussion may have highest concentration of older players. (i hope not)

The general discussion was the core of the forum, now is the addons section.
