Lowest Safe Altitude on Mün

I'm going to build a low altitude space station above the Mün. What is the lowest safe altitude without crashing into terrain?

I'd go for 10 km. Lower than that, and your station might suddently disappear.

In an equatorial orbit, I've found that about 7.5km is the minimum safe altitude. There are mountains in the 5-6km(+?) range.

Many of my Kerbals have died trying to set the lowest "skimming" orbit record.

The Mun's highest points reach a maximum altitude of more than 7061 m near the south pole at 152.33° W and 82.52° S.
