Can´t attach a rover to a rocket

Hey everybody,

I´m playing KSP for 3 weeks now and I´m absolutely addicted! I faced many problems but the one thing I can´t figure out is how to attach a rover to a rocket. I built the rover around an unmanned core to use it without a Kerbal. The way I tried it is this:

The only green attachment point is the core....

What did I do wrong? I´m sure you guys can help me. I would really appreciate it!

Every subassembly has to attach at the root. You have to re-build your rover, starting with the part you want it to attach to the rocket with.

The best way is via skycrane, or placing it under a lander with radial mounted engines.
