I entered my first Challenge for KSP.

This Challenge was for the fastest manned vehicle to stay on the runway. It must be liquid rocket fueled for acceleration, but can use solids for deceleration.

Everyone else was using sensible smaller, more efficient rockets. I went for a Main Sail.

Here's the progress of development.

Note, I broke the sound barrier (by about 11 m/s). Not bad for being on the ground.

Update to 377 m/s followed by an amazing crash.

As of last night, got to 1st on the leader board with this:

474 m/s

Of course this morning, the new record went to 503 m/s.

I must stop this, as my Jool Mission crew is feeling neglected.
