Do Vessel GUID's get recycled?

I am making a plugin and was wondering if Vessel GUID's get recycled?

Simple example:

If a ship has a GUID of 1, will that GUID be ever assigned to another Vessel in the future should the original Vessel #1 be destroyed/ended?

No. Guid's are randomly generated and supposed to be unique though pretty much all of mankind (exaggeration). That's the only reason to choose such a data type instead of e.g. int. A Wikipedia quote: The total number of unique such GUIDs is 2^122 or 5.3×10^36. This number is so large that the probability of the same number being generated randomly twice is negligible;

Thanks for the response! My plugin is going to track missions as identified by GUID, and I need them to stay the same through all of mankind!
