Problem didn't do something right, KW Mod

I installed KW over the weekend and I really like it. I noticed that if I use KW engine I'm not getting engine sound in game on launch. I copied the folders to my game data folder like the readme states. How did I screw this up? Thanks!

If it's functional apart from the sounds, it's puzzling, the only possible problem I could think of is down to the slightly unusual directory structure of the KW pack in placing the sound files in a lower level subdirectory below the part directories, and the length of the file paths causing an issue if you have KSP itself installed in a deep subdirectory to start with. That's assuming Windows, as path lengths would not be an issue on Mac/Linux filesystems, but in Windows must be less than 255 characters (which is way more than would be the case with even a default Steam KSP installation).
