That is glorious. I heard FAR calculates that thing's drag by assuming it's unfolded, even when folded up. Is that true, and do fairings make a difference?

Fairings DO in fact make a difference with FAR. Anything within a fairing or cargo bay is considered to be shielded and does not "produce" drag.

Yea, did a second launch and dumped the fairings at about 55-60, BAD idea.
