radial decoupler not working with boosters.

Recommended Posts

I cant for the life of me figure out why I cant decouple my boosters. Help!

I can decouple fuel tanks and engines just fine, but not boosters.

I have radial snap turned on, and symmetry set to 3. I cant get the placement of the boosters exactly on the decouplers and I assume this is my problem, but it seems to "snap" to the decouplers when I add anything else.

When adding things radially the placement follows the mouse pointer, also if it's the Larbe BACC SRBs those need to be placed about the center of mass it is easiest to just place a single booster then grab the decoupler and turn on symmetry (The booster will get copied too)

The mouse pointer Taki mentioned was the thing I messed up when I first started fiddling with them. You have to put your mouse arrow on the decoupler, not just some portion of the booster.

Also, make sure your boosters aren't bumping into anything. That will prevent you from being able to place them, but doesn't usually look like the snap problem you're describing.
