Tri-port docking

Recommended Posts

Hello!

My problem is that previously I have used TVR-1180C Mk1 Stack Tri-Couplers to make tri-port dockings with ease, most of them time they wobbled a little bit, then connected.

But today I changed them to TVR-300L Stack Tri-Adapters, because they connect more smoothly to large tanks on the other side, however no matter how precisely I connect and align them, only one will connect.

TVR-1180C Mk1 Stack Tri-Couplers continue to connect correctly.

Is there a way to somehow aide docking so the ports will be perfectly aligned? (no quantum struts)

Or just somehow modify some values what determine how close the docking should be?

Well, you have got to remember that even Scott Manley struggled with this...

Yes but I have done it a thousand times, with the old tri couplers. Why are the new ones so different?

It's really hard to get multiple docking ports to dock at the same time. It requires perfect alignment. I would recommend using the 2.5m docking ports instead.

If I use the large docking port, wouldn't it be bad for RCS thrusters if the rotation is not perfect (I mean for vertical and horizontal translation)? Because previously I only used tri couplers, because they would provide a stable alignment for different modules.

Also is the are way to edit the savegame, to make all docking ports joined?
