Tethers

I'm not sure if this was covered someone else but I did try to do a search for it. I think it would be beneficial, and also just more realistic which would be nice, to include tethers from space stations to your kerbonauts. It would prevent those random times when you EVA and get caught in orbit too far from your ship to get back with just the RCS. Have any mods added this anywhere? If not I definitely think it would be something cool to add, mostly just aesthetic but still useful.

You can do that with the wenches in KAS, but you'll have to float out to pick up the hook, and you won't be able to grab anything else while you've got the tether. I found that the safest way to keep your EVAed Kerbalnauts from floating away is to practice with the EVA pack alot. You've actually got quite a bit of fuel in that little jetpack (I'm sure someone can tell you exactly how many seconds of burn it is.). I've taken kerbalnauts pretty far from their ships and still gotten them back safely with propellant to spare.

Just remember, it doesn't really work like George Clooney's backpack in Gravity, you don't need to make long burns, short bursts will do.
