(I do not intend to offend any Global Moderators.)

...that English [uK] came before English [uS], so from the perspective of a Brit it looks to be like \'those wacky Americans\' are removing all their \'U\'s and spelling \'tyre\' wrong.

Just to repeat, English [uK] came first, so any complaints towards how we spell things over the pond will be met with my amusement, and perhaps a comment with wording to that effect.
