A perfectly Kerbal Mission - Lolipopstartion

I wish I had more screenshot but I have 2.

I decide to place my first space station into space for the greatest of all reason to be found on Kerbin: "BECAUSE" :sticktongue:

Here is my station with its launch vehicle. it is a simple station with 1 x PPD-10 Hitchhiker Storage Container, 1 x Mobile Processing Lab MPL-LG-2, 1 x Rockomax X200-16 Fuel Tank. It includes solar panels, batteries, lights, SAS and docking ports on each end. What the Kerbal designers forget were two things. They forgot RCS in any forms and failed to reading the warning label on the PPD-10 Hitchhiker Storage Container where it stated; "No command module functionality"

So it launched with 5 Kerbals. 1 in the launch vehicle command capsule and 4 in the Hitchhiker.

After placing it into a Low Kerbin Orbit (LKO) I disconnected the launch vehicle and that when Mission controlled noticed they had no control of the Space Station. So they called the engineers to make a Retrofit Rocket.

It was a rush job and after launched the engineers once again discovered they did not put any RCS in the craft... AGAIN. They also put the command module on backwards so it would look better when attached to the station. This resulted in all the controls being reverse when trying to dock with the main engine only.

Here you can see the docking completed before the the finale disconnect with the launch vehicle reentry to Kerbin.

So now there are 4 Kerbals in my simple space station that can transfer fuel to out going missions.

Thanks

Oh I forget to mention that was my very first docking mission as well. Took me about 1 hour to dock because I was pausing and doing research on how to dock and it still would not dock. I did a bit more research and discovered that I need to turn off SAS as part of the final docking maneuver. so in all it took about 1 1/2 hours to complete this docking.
