How did you start gaming?

I started playing where in the world is carman satiago, on my dads old computer, which was dos.

After we got the windows 98 computer, and a few other games, I started playing rollercoster tycoon 2, which me and my sister would get a half hour a day playing, with us doing everything from building theme parks to later on, building prisons and citys (and I still do that to this day). The rollercoaster tycoon 2 disk was later snapped by my brother, much to my anger. I later brought anouther and continued playing, untill my brother started playing it, and stole the disk from me. :P

After that disk was snapped, I got into playing a rally game, which is still around. The real time that me and gaming took off was when I got my own computer, which was windows 2000. This allowed me to run the original IL-2 which we had gotten 2-4 years earlyer (I got it for christmas). I fell in love with that game, and once again, did stuff that the developer wouldn\'t have thought anyone would do. I did movies, aerobatics, air racing, airshows using the ai, everything that I could.

Sorry for the large amount of info. but there is a story in there, that shows you whats happening with KSP at the moment (I.E they are doing things like submarines, for fun, any idiot that liked the game wouldn\'t try to do that. You have a extremely loyal fanbase.).

Now the next persons story.

First gamed in 1991 in dad\'s laboratory. Tetris, Perestroika, Captain Comic...

In 1994 I got my first job. And that lab had a computer too; with Retaliator and MechWarrior I. Then (in 1997) I applied for a job in another lab having NFS, WarCraft II and Diablo :)

And only in 1998 I bought my own computer... and really started gaming :D

I played rollercoaster tycoon 1, that was a lot of fun at the time.

And what is IL-2?

And @tosh, lucky you.

Why? ::) In Russia we had no personal computers at all when I was 3 =P. Only military and scientific ones...

though I knew an old fart who used to gab he\'d managed to play games even on a CNC machine :D

I started way back in the late 80s on a ZX Spectrum, or rather its Russian knock-off, Delta. Which may or may not have been an original machine smuggled in from Western Europe and re-labeled. I still have it somewhere, perhaps one day I\'ll take it apart and find out.

That is Turbo Esprit, IMO one of the best games on the platform. If the game seem oddly familiar, it\'s because it\'s effectively an 8-bit GTA. In 1986. On a machine that had a mere 48 kB of memory.

In 1994 I got my first job. And that lab had a computer too; with Retaliator

Daaaamn, I loved that game.

I started ACTUALLY getting addicted to games when I started playing MW1.

Then, I played Halo 1-2

Then, I started playing Roblox(Which is sucky now.)

Then, started playing MC.(Still play.)

Then, KSP or Moonbase Alpha...

Then, I played Halo:Reach.

This is how I started gaming :P.

Used to play old game consoles (SNES I guess?) when I was still young (somewhere in 90\'s). Got a PlayStation and PSOne from abroad, then took a break away from games for many years (around 5 years I guess?) and I was introduced to computers in our computer subject when I was in grade school (I didn\'t knew anything about computers that time :D).

Then came Gameboy Advance, and then PlayStation 2. We were fully introduced to the gaming world when we migrated abroad. Many things came at the same time to us all of a sudden (PC games, PSP, GameBoy Advance SP and Micro, PS3, MMORPGs, etc.)

Now I\'m back home, and has a personal computer. Got introduced to Minecraft around May 2011, and here in KSP around October. :)

My first game was Mario 3 or Sonic 2. But what got me into gaming was RangerX for the genesis And then I met Aliens Vs predator 2 for PC , Which led me to BF 1942 - And 1942 had me hooked on PC games

As for Sims my first was FS95 then 2002 , 2004 , IL2 PF , then LOMAC

Currently its IL2 1946 , DCS Blackshark & A-10C .... wait wait wait... KSP should have trackIR support once we have nose cams / cockpit views :o

Started with N64 Mario games and Combat Flight Simulator 1. Upgraded to CFS 2, and then CFS 3. Discovered Command and Conquer in my dad\'s closet, and he let me try it. Loved it, and proceeded to Red Alert 2. Upgraded to Gamecube, then Wii. Tryed Halo 3 on friend\'s Xbox, and got my own. Found Minecraft, and went back to PC gaming. Got Steam, and PC gaming skyrocketed. Discovered KSP, and here I am.
