Recording KSP

Hey folks, out of curiosity, just what kind of specs are required for recording KSP for upload to say, youtube?

Current specs are as follows

Intel i3 2100 Sandy Bridge CPU

4GB DDR3 1066 SDRAM

Nvdia GTX 460 GPU

1TB Western Digital HDD drive.

HT Striker Sound Card (may have to take that out to capture sound)

If you have recorded on similar specs, what program do you use to get good results.

I've found that recording KSP doesn't put too much stress on my computer (I'm using DXtory) as long as I have all the settings turned down. (of course, I already had to turn them down to actually play normally)

My specs are as follows:

CPU: i5 480

GPU: Intel Integrated Graphics

RAM: 6 GB

I am currently in the middle of ordering a new computer with better specs, which should be able to run KSP on higher settings. I'll let you know!

Your problem is the On-Chip GPU (forget the correct term, tired). Integrated GPUs are pretty bad at running anything 3D. That said, Intel's HD CPU/GPU combo is actually decent at doing so assuming you lower the quality of things.

However you also have more RAM and probably a better GPU than me, but I might try it.
