Make the the heaviest 4 engined seaplane and

Recommended Posts

land it on water, then take off from the water again, and see how far you can get before having to land.(Anywhere)

Rules

1 - No more than 4 engines, lower numbers may be used however.

2 - No RCS.

3 - No Infinity glide glitch

4 - Mods are allowed apart from parts specifically designed for the task.(B9 would be allowed, but ones that give specific parts ment FOR hydroplanes are not allowed.)

5 - Crashlanding does not count(Im looking at you Jeb)

6 - You are allowed more stages, but the count most remain under 4 engines on the entire ship in accordance to rule 1.

7 - Sub orbital is allowed, but going full orbital is disqualification.

8 - Ferram aerospace is not needed but is highly recommended, however if you choose not to use it, you will lose 10 points.

9 - You have to land in the water at some point in your journey, this can be the final resting place of your aircraft or at the immediate start. But you may not roll it down from the runway into the water, then take off.

10 - No parachutes.

Scoring system.

For every 1,000 meters you manage to go upwards, you gain 1 point.

For every 5,000 meters you go forwards you gain 1 point.

Flying around the world earns you 10 points.(Stacks, so flying around twice gives 20 points and flying around 3 times gives 30)

For every Ton your aircraft weighs, you gain 1 point.

Scoreboard

1 -

2 -

3 -

4 -

9 -

10 -

What is meant by "full orbital"?

What is the evidence required to prove I did not go "full orbital" and what distance I traveled or how many times did I circumnavigate Kerbin?

Is the name of the challenge related in any way to the task? I don't see any scoring or rules about weight.

So if I go to 50,000km but keep my periapse below 30km, that's ok?

8 - Ferram aerospace is not needed but is highly recommended, however if you choose not to use it, you will lose 10 points.

Oh, right, I'm out then.

9 - You have to land in the water at some point in your journey, this can be the final resting place of your aircraft or at the immediate start. But you may not roll it down from the runway into the water, then take off.

that'd take *ages*!

Oh, easy life - I'll just whack a couple pair of supernukes onto rotatrons, drop them on a pair of stubbies and see ya round the back of Mun...

I think this is a little unfair, why penalise people that like keeping a clean copy of KSP or prefer playing vanilla?

Or, like me, have issues with FAR and some of their other plugins!

boy have i been seeing you 2 every where....

well to penalize them who dont use far is actually an advantage from my point of view.

sine vanilla aerodynamics allow the plane to be waaay heavier while having more response, and so on and so on (you guys know how vanilla is dont you?)

a 10 point penalty could be relatively easy (but longer time) to make up....
