KSC Munar simulation park.

Recommended Posts

I was watching the new NASA Morpheus test-bed video and noticed the landing pad was next to a sandy area with simulated craters and small boulders.

Such a simulation park in KSP might be useful to test out rover designs or practice powered landings in uneven terrain.

Although I recognize that this idea might only be relevant if terrain is given finer details in a future update. At the moment, the only real terrain hazard is slopes.

Sorry if this was suggested before.

This is kinda interesting... I personally believe, the Kerbals being Kerbals, that they practice simply by going out and doing it! That's how I practiced, anyway. It took me about twenty times before I got the idea to burn a bit sooner and stop killing myself.

As for simply practicing on uneven terrain, there's always mountains due East of the KSC.
