Munshot 3, aka "Stubby"

A stock Mun rocket - evolved from the design in Trydyingtolive\'s tutorial. File and screenshots in attachments.

Clarification (if it confused Darkshadow it probably confused others!) -- this will get you to the Mun and back.

It will do so even without the SRBs, but the fuel budget is tighter that way; since I\'m a bad pilot I need the help the SRBs provide.

4, 5, or 6 stages depending on how you count:

1: 12x SRBs and 9x liquid fuel

2: Just the 9x liquid fuel

This should get you close to orbit.

3: 1x liquid fuel; this stage is hidden by the prior two stages. It should get you very close to the Mun - I have sometimes discarded it, with fuel remaining, at ~500 meters above the Mun.

4: Lander stage, 1x gimballed liquid fuel

5: After launching from Mun, the fins can be jettisoned

6: Ditch everything but the capsule for landing.

This things a monster! it doesn\'t respond too well to turning before I dropped the 9 rockets, but then again I never ran into many problems losing control of it or oversteering.
